Hearst Castle Visit

For our one year anniversary, my boyfriend and I went to Hearst Castle for the first time. It’s located in San Simeon, CA and we drove up from San Luis Obispo, which turned out to be about a 45 minute drive. We happened to go on a great, beautiful day so we had an amazing view from the castle.

After brushing some dust off my DSLR (just kidding, but really, it’s been a while), I took a bunch of photos on our tour and while exploring the castle grounds. Any photos I took of the inside didn’t do the castle interior any justice because my lens couldn’t capture the entirety of any room. But I will show you the photos I took outside, which includes a bunch of beautiful flowers. To see the inside, you’ll just have to go visit it yourself! It’s not too pricey either. At about $25/person, it’s a great Disneyland + museum hybrid kind of experience.

My favorite photo of the day. Perfect timing with those planes!

And of course, what did we do for the rest of our anniversary weekend? Eat, sleep, and give presents! We ate out at a Japanese restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, cooked chow fun (see a couple blog posts before this one for the recipe), and gifts. What did I receive? Keep scrolling down to find out.
Bulgogi / Sunshine Roll / Hawaiian Poke at Crazy Sushi Fever,
Chicken Shwarma Plata at Petra, SLO

And introducing…the newest addition to my life:

Yup, I was very blessed to receive a 2013 Nexus 7 from my boyfriend 🙂 And it’s great. Definitely heading toward an Android world and I’m really liking it!

Hope you enjoyed this post and recap of my sightseeing weekend. Have a great rest of the week everyone!
